Odyssey Behavioral Healthcare is Hiring a Content Marketing Manager Near Brentwood, TN

Odyssey’s network of behavioral healthcare services provides support to individuals throughout their journey by combining compassionate, evidence-based treatment with concierge-quality amenities.

Currently, we operate distinct psychiatric treatment locations and offer continuum of services for complex psychiatric, dual diagnosis, substance use, and process addictions within our Psychiatric Network. Additionally, our Eating Disorder Network is dedicated to serving adults and adolescents of all genders and specializes in the full array of eating disorders diagnoses and co-occurring conditions within a robust continuum of services.


Position Summary

The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for producing high-quality content across Odyssey’s Network of Services. This position will work cross functionally within the Marketing Team and across Odyssey Psychiatric, Eating Disorder, and Outpatient Networks to create engaging content that increases traffic to each of our websites, ultimately bringing the people into care who need treatment the most. The Content Manager is responsible for producing exemplary writing, copy editing skills, and will project manage multiple priorities, identify topic opportunities, and report on impact.


Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Initiates and maintains frequent and close working relationships with marketing department team members, Odyssey team members, members of leadership, and facility teams across Odyssey’s Network of Services.

Outside the organization: Initiates and maintains close working relationships with marketing vendors and freelance writers.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality content, including blogs, emails, website copy, brochures, one-pagers, and video scripts.
  • Partner with marketing team members to create new website content and update outdated content based on SEO best practices, website analytics, and industry trends.
  • Project manage all content deliverables from start to finish, ensuring effective communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and edit various content produced by the marketing team.
  • Own and manage the marketing content calendar, including blog posts, social media, and other content marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and style across all content, including web copy, blogs, brochures, one-pagers, and emails.
  • Develop reporting on the impact of content marketing efforts.
  • Manage the relationships with Odyssey's freelance blog writers and marketing vendors.
  • Partners with the organization to produce or coordinate the production of high-quality content across Odyssey’s Psychiatric, Eating Disorder, and Outpatient Networks that increases qualified traffic to each of our websites and encourages those in need of treatment to connect with our admissions teams.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Presents and discusses data-driven information with Odyssey and facility leadership that supports the impact of existing and upcoming initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

Minimum 3 years of related content writing experience, 5 years of experience preferred. Position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. May consider 8 years of experience in lieu of education requirement. Prior healthcare experience is preferred.

Other Requirements

Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and a clear driving record for the last three years.

  • Demonstrates project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Demonstrates the ability to excel in deadline-oriented environments
  • Demonstrates an aptitude with SEO content, including optimizing content for enhanced online visibility and search engine rankings
  • Demonstrates the ability to work on B2C and B2B email campaigns and building email drip campaigns in a marketing automation platform (such as Hubspot or Pardot)
  • Demonstrates an editorial mindset that seeks to understand the target audience and how they consume content
  • Demonstrates comfort with presenting and discussing data-driven information with members of leadership
  • Demonstrates excellent writing skills with a high level of grammar, punctuation, and spelling ability
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively and clearly, verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrates the ability to report on the impact of content in relation to meeting department goals
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with WordPress websites
  • Demonstrates commitment to Odyssey’s mission, vision, values, and treatment philosophy.
